Overview

Hello! Welcome to the registration portion for the in-person SIMWISE training for nursing simulation faculty. We are so excited that you have chosen to complete this training to enhance your ability to effectively educate your students using simulation. This course includes two parts: an online portion and an in-person training. Please make sure that you complete all six online modules prior to attending your in-person training. The in-person training will be full of activities designed to help you through the entire simulation process from design inception to facilitation to continuous quality improvement.

If you encounter any issues as you work your way through these self-paced modules, please reach out to Carla Hamer ([email protected]). We will be happy to assist and make sure you have a great and meaningful learning experience. We look forward to meeting you at the in-person training. Enjoy this course, and we will see you soon!

Objectives

Explore the purpose and impact of simulation, the INACSL Design Standards, and how simulation serves as a powerful intervention for learning and assessment.

  1. Complete all six online modules prior to attending the in-person SIMWISE training.
  2. Attend the in-person SIMWISE training.
  3. To obtain 9.5 Nursing contact hours, participants must complete both parts of the Simulation Workforce Initiative for Simulation Excellence (SIMWISE) training (online and in-person) and the corresponding evaluations.
  4. Upon completion of the evaluations for the online modules and in-person training, certificates will be distributed by email within three weeks. Partial credit will NOT be awarded.
